Archery is a sport for all ages and abilities and is great for families. There are over 50 archery clubs in Hampshire and most offer beginners courses. If you interested in trying archery get in touch with one of the clubs listed here.

An opportunity not to be missed!

These training sessions which have been running since early 2014 have already helped a number of Junior Archers in Hampshire and West Sussex to improve their performance and in some cases to progress to the Archery GB Academies and Junior National Squad.

The Academies were merged into Junior National training at Lilleshall but objectives of the Pathway Training is still to offer aspiring archers the opportunity to improve their performance by applying the Drills and Skills, Warm Up and Strength & Conditioning Exercises that are currently in use with Squads. They provide the perfect introduction to advanced training.

Although training for the current indoor season commenced in November 2017 there are now opportunities for Junior Archers who can demonstrate progression to join the remaining sessions before the outdoor season.

These will take place at Havant & South Downs College, Waterlooville between 9am and 12.30 on the following Saturdays:

February 10th   March 17th   and   April 14th

Continuation of training will be programmed from Autumn 2018

They are open to any Junior Archers affiliated to clubs in Hampshire and West Sussex and the training programme is approved by Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS).   Each session will require a parental contribution to venue hire costs and expenses of £15 per session, payable on the day.  Applications will be considered on merit subject to the capacity of our training venue.

The Lead Coach is the very experienced County Coach Gary Carr but for joining details/application forms, please contact Martin Whiting  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
