Hampshire Archery Association is the home of archery in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands in the UK. The Association is affiliated to SCAS (Southern Counties Archery Society) and Archery GB (GNAS) who are the governing body for the sport in the UK.
Archery is a sport for all ages and abilities and is great for families. There are over 50 archery clubs in Hampshire and most offer beginners courses. If you interested in trying archery get in touch with one of the clubs listed here.
As you can see the website is coming back to life after being hacked earlier this month. The records area and the coaches list will take a little longer to restore however as the programs need to be re-written to conform to the latest software used to build the site. All the record data is in-tact but it isn't going to be a quick job to rewrite the code. I have uploaded a summary of the Competition records and the All-events records will follow shortly.
UPDATE: The records are back on-line but at the moment they cannot be updated. However you can still submit record claims and we will endevour to get them up to date as soon as possible.
UPDATE: The record editing facility has now been completed and the latest records should be updated soon.
Details of the HAA Longbow Championships 2016 on 24th September have been added to the Calendar page
The above tournament held on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of July at Lilleshall proved to be a huge success for Hampshire Juniors. The mixed Compound Team, comprising Jacob Caine (Old Basing Archers), Sophie Meyrick and Vicky Loader (Andover Archers) won the Gold Medal. Jacob was also part of the Gold Medal winning Southern Counties Team. Hampshire archers also picked up a good number of individual awards, with the highlight being Jacob Caine's Gold Medal winning score of 1294/1296 with 143 golds out of 144, for the Bristol Round on Sunday.
Enormous congratulations to everyone for a job well done.
