At this year's Watership Down Field shoot our Lord Paramount was Mr.Bob Gunther who, for many years, has been a Judge at this event. Bob retired from Field Judging earlier this year.
Here is a list of the archers from Hampshire and their placing:
William Attard - Sway - 1st.
Daniel Hawley - Fort Purbrook - 2nd
Duncan Elm - Fort Purbrook - 3rd.
Brian Morris - West Wight - 7th
Junior (u18) longbow
Hampshire archers were 25% of the archers, thanks for the support, all of you did well , especially considering that half of the British Team going to Croatia for the European Championships next month were there, and others were there to get scores on the required difficult course for 2008 World Championship, which are being held in South Wales.
Full results on the GNAS field website .
Also if interested, archers will find a field calendar, and details of how to volunteer to help with the World Championships.
Photos taken at the shoot can be found on our website. Click here.
This message from SCAS Hon. Sec. relates to work being done by SCAS to
Arthur Scales the SCAS PRO has arranged for the publicity trailer to be positioned at the Berkshire Show (Newbury) on the 15th and 16th of September 2007.
The trailer will need to be "maned" for the two day event but not necessarily by the same people so volunteers are required, Arthur has arranged for a small number of free entry tickets to be available for willing helpers!
If there is any "adjacent" counties who would like to exibit at this show please contact Arthur. You will need to supply your own litarature if you wish to have space in the trailer.
This is a good opportunity to show what we are about and Arthur has worked hard to arrange this, our first venture, into this type of publicity so please do try and support him. His e mail address is shown above.
Entry forms are now available for the following Hampshire Championship events:
Archers wishing to enter the Clout Champs who have not shot clout before or are looking for some practice should take advantage of the instruction and practice session at Waterside's ground on the day before the shoot - see entry form for details.
